Step 1 – Spray some water over areas you will be ironing. You will be doing this all throughout, specifically before you press or iron certain areas of the shirt. Step 2 – Start ironing or pressing the collar. Do the under side then the upper side.
Step 3 – Proceed to pressing the yoke then the sleeves. You can just fold where the seams are and press there.
Step 4 – Iron the cuffs before you iron the body of the shirt. Then proceed to the facings or the front parts.
Step 5 – There are shirts which could use more pressings. Just divide the shirt in half then press it at the center before pressing the back side. Make sure you match the side seam with the press fold.
Step 6 – In order to put the third crease in, you need to determine the central point between the shoulder and the middle of the shirt. Just line it up on the straight of the fabric and iron it.
Step 7 – For the front portion, just divide it in half in a straight line through the central portion of the pocket going to the shoulder.
Step 8 – Do the procedure on the other side.
There you go – a neatly ironed military shirt you can use or keep in the closet.
