Military Light Switch
2001 Chevy Blazer LT 4×4, intermittent starting problems?
At a loss. 4×4, 4.3L 71,000 miles, automatic. New battery. About five times a month when attempting to start, I hear the fuel pump, all lights, radio etc. are operational, the motor won’t turn over, no clicking, etc…like it’s in drive. Turn it off then back on, sometimes nothing sometimes eureka! This can go on for three to five minutes. Tried the gear shifter in Neutral, well every gear actually. Jiggling the tumbler, steering wheel, gear shifter, just about everything. When it happens then magically starts, it won’t start the same way next time! The weather is not a factor since its been doing it for about eight months. One guy suggested the neutral safety switch, with the gear shifter troubleshooting, I’m not sure if I’ve eliminated that. I am stationed in Belgium in the U.S. military and the availability of a computer diagnostic seems to be unavailable. Naturally I would like to know specifically what I should order to avoid the high Euro/Dollar conversion costs. Any thoughts?
buy a decent Japanese car ( they start every time ) and not so a truck that probably hasn’t seen any serious off-route and only consume fuel by the gallon
