Military Jungle Boots
Recurring yeast Infections?
My husband has a chronic foot fungus, Atheletes Foot. He was in the military for over 20 years and had to wear boots all the time. He was apart of the Army that went into the jungles of Panama and in Greneda. He has to spray his feet everynight with over the counter medicine because of the burn. The doctor wants to put him on a medicine that will clear up the fungus, but he refuses to take the medicine because it makes him sick. Is it possible the fungus could be passed to me? I keep getting yeast infectons and I noticed it started once he and I started dating.
Yeast infections and Athletes foot are different fungal infections. Athletes foot isn’t commonly passed to the genitals to cause a yeast infection.
You can get yeast infections with out having sex, and there are things you can do to make them less frequent. Like having less sugar and high fatty foods in your diet, wearing cotton underwear more often, wearing loose fitting pants, not drinking too much alcohol and boosting your immune system with regular exercise and vitamins. If that doesn’t help then you should see a doctor, there could be more then just yeast infections going on.
