Collecting Military Memorabilia is Still Popular
There is still a huge market around the world for collecting military memorabilia.
Avid collectors will scour the internet for the latest pieces to add to their collection. Because supply is necessarily short on some pieces, this can drive prices up.
And never more so than with antique jewellery military pieces. This is why many collectors are turning to real life auctions rather than rely on internet auctions.
There are four military commemorative brooches for sale in the next modern and antique jewellery auction of Birmingham auctioneers Fellows & Sons, on Thursday 18th October.

Lot 149:
• An Australian Commonwealth Military Forces pin with central crown on a sun ray design background, with blue enamel lettered sashes
• A silver Royal Artillery bar brooch with crown leading to blue enamel ribbon above and below. These two items together are valued at £50 to £80
Lot 788:
• A 9 carat gold Air force brooch in an eagle and crown design
• A Worcestershire Firm brooch, again 9 carat gold. These two items are expected to sell for between £75 and £100
