Military Green Color
List of Red-green color blind MOS’S for the Army?
So I’ve heard a million different contradictory about what jobs I can get in the military being Red-green color blind, and I can’t seem to find a list of MOS’S on the Army website, can someone give me a list of them or give me a link to the list on the Army website?
Also, would it be possible to become an officer, because people have told me that I can’t…
And one final question, assuming I could become an officer, would it be possible for me to go to Ranger school? I’ve always wanted to go even if I wasn’t placed in the Rangers just so I could say I was there and I did it.

As far as a list, I can’t find one either. I can tell you from experience (RG colorblind) that it really narrows your choices. I went in with an 86 (I think) on my asvab. Everything was available to me and I was given 5 job choices. Petroleum specialist, Seamstress, laundry technician, and a radio operator/maintainer. I went with the radio job. It was basically infantry, with a radio and it was closest to what I wanted to do.
Officer is kinda sketchy, I’m not sure of the requirements, but you may be able to enlist then go to OCS.
You can go to ranger school. I was offered it right after airborne school. It depends on your mos though. 99% of my mos was RG colorblind and so to have any of us, the rangers had to give out waivers. All you have to do is pass an alternate physical and sign the paperwork, then off you go.
