Baseball Caps and Fashion

You may be wondering why baseball caps are sought after by people. You might have known someone who owns more than twenty hats of different designs and colors. The purpose of collecting this kind of stuff differs from one person to another. Basically, baseball caps are for protection of the eyes from the rays of the sun while undergoing some outdoor activities.

Baseball caps are now taking part in most people’s fashion. Military men are also wearing baseball hats to signify their ranks and as part of their uniforms too. This cap is also utilized as an advertising tool where company’s logo and trademark are printed in front of the hat.

Another thing for fashion sake about baseball cap is the way it is worn. Originally, the brim should be in front since it serves as eye’s protection against the rays of the sun. However, rappers and stage actors are wearing hats with brims in the side or at the back. They sometimes have the brims pressed upwards too for a newer look.

Wearing baseball caps is not only limited to outdoor casual and sports activities. Even at night where there is no sun, this kind of cap is worn as part of ones get up. Baseball caps are casually used to be able to deviate the image of being too formal in your business attires.  Some do use it to hide some discrepancies in their head like unpleasing haircuts and baldness.

Movie characters who are using baseball caps portray a certain personality in the story. Usually, when a teenager is using a cap, viewers will associate the character as gang member, an outgoing or rebellious teen or a rapper or singer wannabe. When a prominent figure in the story wears it, he possibly goes to a group of ordinary community people and he is projecting a humble and simple persona.
