Military Camelbak Backpack
Best Military Backpack?
Well thanks for taking time to read this.I was looking at my rangerjoes catalog today and i wanted to know what backpack to get,I was going to get one when i got out of AIT but they really didn’t have a good selection to choose from.So if you have a really good one (in your opinion) please let me know,but here’s the ones i have been looking at.

Personally, I would go with the Camelback. I’ve owned many of them over the years, and every one has performed flawlessly. They issued us Blackhawks when I was in AIT, and I found that they broke more easily. That’s just anecdotal though.
What exactly do you need the pack for? Are you deploying soon? I’m sure you know your unit will issue you one, so you might check to make sure you won’t violate regs and thus waste money on a pack you won’t carry in combat.
Also, where are you stationed? I’m guessing not Benning, since that’s where Ranger Joes is located. If you’re at Bragg, I can point you to a great store.
I don’t know if you can get your hands on one, but the USMC has a standard issue pack that’s made by Arc’teryx, and it’s a bad mofo. Can carry up to 120 lbs. and is comfortable as hell. Has outer straps for 40mm grenades, mortars, and other things. If it came in ACU pattern, that’s what I’d go with.
