British Military Costumes
Help finding the right metal button?
I am sewing my boyfriend a British Colonial Officers Costume and I need 50 metal military style buttons. I want them to look the part, but I do not want to spend hundreds of dollars on them. I Googled this but I can’t seem to find anything in the quantity that I need. I was wondering if anyone out there could direct me to the right place. Thanks in advance!!!
Places that accept donations of clothing many times go through garments that are thoroughly trashed and salvage the buttons. I’m referrintg to thrift stores run by the Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc.
I volunteer in Arizona at a thrift store and we have bottles of buttons that are sorted by color, size and material. If you are in the Phoenix area email me. If not then go to one of the places I suggested.
