How do I make the handle on my sword black, it is a blade the daywalker replica?
The origonal sword in the movie had a handle that was black with silver finishing When I got the sword off of ebay i thought that was what I was getting but the handle is almost the same color everywere and if i toutch the darker parts it rubs off. How do I get all of the dark stuff off and get it to the proper black while leaving the other parts silver and doing it in such a way that it won’t rub off?
Most paints rub off of medel easyly so i don’t want to try that
You need to sand off all the stuff the rubs off. Get it really clean. Cover up the parts that you DO NOT want black (Painters tape would be good to use). Get a primer for metal surfaces, let it dry, then paint it black. The black paint will hold up if you use a good primer. Good luck, and may the force be with you, Han.
