Upgrading this rifle includes buying a new, metal gear box and getting a new set of batteries.

Of course, there are other cheap BB guns in the market. Buying something slightly more expensive like a Well R5 which has a metal gearbox would be a good idea. The problem with this gun is that it might have a tough beginning with its user. There have been some incidents wherein the person who purchased the gun wasn’t able to fire a single shot when he tried it for the first time. It worked after the selector switch has been removed and installed. An advantage of getting this gun is that it comes with extra stuff like a flashlight and a red-dot reflex sight. The quality of the plastic used for the body of the gun is better than that of the BE Steyr Aug. At $100, this can be a good first gun.

Although there are a lot of cheap BB guns in the market, some people would rather get stronger BB guns that do cost a lot. Brands like Tokyo Marui and Classical Army are advisable for people who have the money for such brands. Most of them are seriously into the game and consider such expenses as an investment.
